ABOUT OUR COMPANY AIM Software Systems, Inc. AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF PIMS AIM Software Systems was established in 1980 by a group of software professionals with more than forty years of combined experience in application software systems. Over the past twenty five years, the company has forged new software for a range of industries including computerized systems for paper mills, fiberboard and envelope manufacturers. Development of the AIM PAPERMILL INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (PIMS) was begun in 1989, when a team was formed to formulate a leading edge system specification with the assistance of staff from different Mill facilities. A thorough study was conducted as to the requirements of each department including the specific wishes of each of the participants. A model of the system was built and demonstrated, and additional suggestions made. The first installation was completed in 1990 and others followed thereafter, each with added improvements to the features and functions of the original software, including major revisions released in 1996, 2000 and a GUI release in 2003. The AIM staff averages more than twenty five years industry experience. We work with our customers, certifying the product fit to the requirements, modifying the software to specification when necessary, and spending the time and training necessary to make the user comfortable and confident when using the system.
