P I M S   -   Major Features

  

Order Processing – US and Metric units, auto pricing, centralized or multiple mills, view block availability and inventory.

 

Integrated Block Scheduling – Orders allocated to block schedule by due date, system warns when block expansion is needed.

 

Trim Schedule Linked to Production – Checks order for correct trim size, over-trimming, machine width.  Trim efficiency statistics are included.

 

Winder/Scale Entry – Prioritized run schedule is presented with trims, orders and sizes to cut.  Captures weight at scale.  Alerts operator for overruns and tracks the make-up pool.

 

Backlog Reporting – Summarizes production hours by grade including details for each order.

 

Traffic Management – Five best carrier rate quotes are presented for each truckload.  Rates and pick-up times auto-faxed to carrier.  Schedule can be viewed by shipping department.

 

Shipping – RF scanners utilized throughout.  Bills of lading generated and automatically transmitted to customers, carriers and elsewhere by EDI or fax.  Inquiries available by day, customer,or order.  Controls trailer pool as well.

 

Inventory Control – Extensive detail and summary reporting.  Checks stock by grade, size or by customer.  Warehouse location system and physical inventory count system included.

 

Roll Tracking – Easy access to sales, QC, manufacturing and shipping history

 

QC and Production Statistics  Outstanding Graphics! Available by date, grade, customer, crew and shift.

 

CCM  – Customer Complaint Monitoring - Return authorization generation - Specific  complaint documentation  & Expense/follow-up information included.

 

Management Reporting – Sales and production reporting by customer and grade.  Monthly, quarterly and yearly comparisons, budget and forecast variances, mill net analysis. 

 

Manufacturing Performance & Profitability Analysis Tools - Period Profitability and Trim Analysis,  Graphical Monitoring, Pie Chart and Bar Graph Analysis Tools provide important hourly net income by machine; production reel data, analysis of customer orders, shipments, backlog, production, inventory, WIP, substandard production by grade, crew, shift and problem category, and much more.
